These works subtly referenced the erosion of meaning through repetition; a process in which words, slogans and poetic phrases gradually became detached from their original significance and transformed into forms of conditioning, ritual and visual noise.”
Centered around repetitive phrases such as “This is the garden of history,” “In Search of a Dream,” and “The Paradox of Life, a Pause,” the works explored repetition as both a visual and psychological structure. Through obsessive recurrence, language slowly dissolved into image and pattern, existing somewhere between prayer, meditation, indoctrination and exhaustion. Borrowing from the symbolic role of repetition in ritual and collective behavior, the pieces examined how language could shift from communication into trance, fragmentation and disappearance.
