For this exhibition, Oranous Afsharian presented a work from The Bloody Life series. Combining archival photographs with contemporary slang and irreverent text, the series explores the cyclical absurdity of human emotions and everyday struggles across time. By layering casual modern language onto historical imagery, the work creates a playful yet unsettling tension between past and present, revealing how experiences of love, failure, ambition, disappointment and emotional chaos remain strangely universal.
