Session 05

Group Exhibition, Azur Gallery, Berlin, Germany, 2024

Heading 2

The Letters explores memory, intimacy and the fragile materiality of communication through the use of handwritten letters embedded within layered surfaces. Fragments of personal texts appear partially visible and partially erased, suspended between revelation and concealment. The work reflects on how written language carries emotional residue across time, even as its clarity gradually fades.

Through layering, abrasion and distortion, the letters lose their purely linguistic function and become visual traces of presence, absence and emotional distance. Rather than functioning as readable documents, they survive as remnants of interrupted communication and fragmented memory; echoes of voices that persist beyond their original context.
