This work explores censorship, visual overload and the instability of information through layered gestures applied over newspaper surfaces. Fragments of headlines and printed texts remain partially visible beneath aggressive marks, stains and painted interventions, creating tension between revelation and concealment.

The newspaper acts as both document and background noise; a carrier of information that is simultaneously exposed, interrupted and erased. Through covering, obscuring and fragmenting the surface, the work reflects on the mechanisms through which narratives are manipulated, hidden or drowned within the excess of contemporary media imagery. Color in the work functions not only as painterly gesture, but also as an act of censorship that interrupts readability and destabilizes meaning.
